The Best Anti-Aging Product Of 2019 that has worked for my skin !

It‚Äôs time I broke down all anti-aging myths and why it‚Äôs important to start taking care of your skin early with the best products, I have tried and tested. Read to know more…

After a long haul I am finally back to blogging and back for good!

I wanted to share something helpful and a very personal story with you guys about my skin care routine taking in to consideration anti-aging and when it starts its process of showing defined lines. But First Things First! Please, don’t assume that I don’t embrace my ageing process and that I have complete endearment towards my gradual growth of being woman with both wit and belle!

Having said that – I am a person who has always wanted to age gracefully and often it means in making adjustments towards loving and taking care of MY SKIN #selflove

Moving on, before I can explain further please understand this –  In order to nourish your skin, just a moisturiser will NEVER DROP THE TALK! You‚Äôve got to watch what you eat and do some sort of endurance workouts (Believe me amalgamation of these 3 blends is like magic).

We all know that SKIN is the largest organ of our body besides that it covers us externally and makes us who we are hence, it is essential to give it the TLC it deserves! A lot of people think of me as crazy person when I preach about starting #antiaging from the early 20s and the vacillates I get because of society’s judgements! I never thought of their opinion as an important one and hence, I started using anti – ageing ever since I was 22 years old and cross my heart ITS WORTH IT.

The truth is ageing goes beyond skin deep…. The most important factors to anti-aging are stress, diet with lack of nutrients which leads to the formation of wrinkles, dull, dry and sagging skin!

Although some products are a dream to fight anti-aging. Featuring a few products on how to maintain your skin in this journey. However, I am going to talk about one particular product which I discovered last year that has booked a place in my heart and I thought it’s important to share this wonderful product with you guys! Also, just a heads up I am turning 28 this 16th and what better time to talk about anti-ageing right?

Image 1 : Relaxing with my tiny macaroon the FOREO LUNAGo

The FOREO LUNA Go, facial cleansing brush.

I set store by this little compact facial cleansing brush and this portable bestie of mine goes with me wherever I go. Being a blogger, my lifestyle is very much stressful and involves several shoots a day for which I need to make sure I take care of my skin in all possible ways! The LUNAGo provides a 2 way experience with its T-Sonic Technology which is:

Image 2: LUNAGo front side deep cleansing

ANTI-AGEING on the other side

Image 3: LUNAGo reverse side anti-aging pulsations

The T-Sonic technology of the LUNAGo consists of transdermal sonic pulsations, its function is very versatile some of which are as follows –

  • Increases Blood Flow / Blood circulation
  • Reverse the elasticity
  • Resurfaces dehydrated skin
  • Improves Texture and Tone of skin
  • Slows down anti-ageing process (as mentioned earlier)
  • Reduces appearances of broken capillaries – Rejuvenate and strengthen the skin from inside out ( Premature signs of ageing )
  • Fine lines

Image 4 : Post cleanse rejuvenation with my LUNAGo

*None of the above is achievable by manual cleansing and it does the job of an invasive procedure which is again pretty much a hassle. However, as any reviewer I don’t promise on this product working much effectively on you guys as it has worked for me as we all varies with the skin type. We need to figure what works out for oneself before merely doing what others say. It comes with 4 various skin types such as normal skin, sensitive skin, oily skin and combination skin. So you get to choose what works best on your skin and indulge in some good cleansing.

Thanks for reading my story and share your comments, coming back soon with another skin care story!

Today’s post is all about – what one should do when one cant spend much? Without without wipping out credit and debit cards

If you know me, you know I love a good coalesce of luxury, high-streets, thrifts and bargain shops fashion. Something I enjoy in fashion is to look my absoulte best while spending least amount of rupees, and I love sharing my ways and stories about the same so, I am decoding these 2 looks for you guys!

Lets start my keeping one rule in mind- #WEARYOU make sure you know what fashion /style speaks you and what you did like to don to feel you!

One thing I always make sure regardless from where I shop is to buy things that blends with my aura and perosona!

Before I came to Bangalore from my last visit at my home town, I decided to thrift hunting and thrifting to me is like an art! Once you master it = your closet will be full of joy! Also, let me warn you guys thrifting ain’t a glamorous experience unless you decode the fun and for me s no less than an art exhibition! I look for items from other fashion eras whilst I thrift as old fashion is always timeless! TURTLE NECK #GUCCI authentic just for Rs 100 what a deal right? Paired this turtle neck with a pencil skirt thrifted by my MOTHER for just Rs 80! Well. I must say I got it from my MAMA! And to augment the outfit I wore my another thrift trophy – this pair of heels was love at first sight! The heel so beautifully shaped and the stone embedded strap just elevated the look as a whole! The bag for this look is however not thrifted but it’s one of my last season’s best buy! Completed the look with a hairpin with marble detailing

This one is an online best find- We all know internet is the best place to find specific items! So, I had this one look in mind and I started surfing sites, and specifically sites with free shipping!

ANGEL PRINT CROP TEE is just for Rs 558 and I must say I didn’t blink twice while I put it to my cart! The ZIP detailed cargo is however is about Rs 1069 which is quite an expensive one but the material is really good! And for footwear I found this NB sneaker LEGITIMATE one again from the same thrift lane back home for Rs 400 I was filled with joy after this buy! Again completed this look with blie check hairpin that compilents the color of the top!

The whole look cost just about Rs 2,030 HEAD TO TOE

TOP Rs 558
CARGO – RS 1069
SNEAKER – Rs 400
HAIR PIN – Rs 46

The way we dress is how we make an impact generally on others perception to some extent but thats not the important aspect! Thr real deal lies in being happy withtin oneself, confident and above all being able to express one’s unique style and personality!

I hope this blogpost brings out the thrift Queen / King in you and hopefully it was fun for you all to read! Untill next blog post stay you and stay happy!

Bag Trends I love Part 1

¬†One of my way to update a look for a new season is getting the right accessories and if you know me well you know my obsession¬†with bags and shoes but let’s talk only about bags today.

1. PVC

The good news is the PVC trend is making a come back and if you guys followed my style in 2016 you know how much I loved those PVC shoes but well you guys we have them in bags, jackets, shirts what not and I am jumping around to experiment it all! What I love about these bags are that of those things you carry inside the see-through even makes a statement. I kind of indulged in quite a few shapes even after this post, yes yes GUILTY!

Styled them in few various ways!

This one has to be my best steal, well guys this bag belongs to my Mother she bought quite a few shapes from a lady who makes hand-made straw bags in Manipur my hometown back in 2010 which obviously tells how stylish my momma is and one fine visit home I just got this one without even telling her! She obviously caught me on Instagram and I can’t wait to go home again and get the rest too.

I styled it differently hope you guys enjoy it!

3. The Hoop Handle

This one comes in different sizes but I personally love it small as it looks super cute and easy to carry! It adds so much to an outfit, instantly upgrades a look. I picked a checked one from F21 which I totally dig for its chic appeal.

I have few other bag trends which I love but I wanted to share ways to style so will focus on these 2 for this post. Hope you guys enjoy it!

The weather speaks 32 degrees in the day and most of us are stuck racking up our brain to come up with something that looks chic yet that works for not so spring but spring climate!

While I love to don a lot of androgynous style throughout the year, spring always makes me think more feminine than most times from silhouettes to pretty pastels.

Where I stay is a bit warm for the mid-spring season so I have to keep comfort and easy to breathe sort of outfits in mind, but what I enjoy the most is mixing patterns and prints and that’s the best part while styling spring looks.

Well, guys I always do well-thought looks and blog post but this look was very impromptu just while was getting ready for work I reached out to certain things which were¬†not very usual for me and that’s when I realized, I have to share this look as I feel its super easy and go-to.

I picked up this ballon sleeves printed shirt from a thrift store long back and I have not styled it for quite a long time but it was the right time, I paired it up with my almost forgotten pencil pink linen pants from Marks and Spencer, I don’t¬†know why I never gave this girl attention but never too late to realise the importance ( so comfortable¬†). Also, I had to pull out my favorite pair of white mules cause it was just blending just too good. For an extra adorn, I carried my Perspex basket bag oh well got this one year back and my fav pink squared glasses to complete it all.

My obsession with wide legs and bell bottoms is something most people are aware of and on days when ¬†I face “I don’t¬†know what to wear” syndrome my wide legs are my best friends.

I am a girl who is never compromising with comfort and never too keen on pulling up my skinny jeans mostly because of my thunder thighs which also I LOVE and I am not complaining of but the comfort level is a bit low as compared to my wide legs.

If you want to be comfortable and be looking chic and on-trend wide-leg pants are a staple.

When it comes to color like Green it could be a bit tricky and honestly green color is something which is not much my first choice but since I did experiment I am sharing it with you guys.

Green Ankle length thigh-high split wide-leg РI decided to go for a mix of bit sexy yet power suit kind of look hence I paired it with a TURTLENECK again my staple with a satin fabric blazer it comes with a belt that clinches my waist and gives off a very defined waistline. Paired with a black mule and an orange bag to adorn the entire outfit. I monotone both blazer and pants with similar shades of green and added white and orange to break the monotony with some fun.

These pants are more of bellbottoms and I love them even more as I find them very flattering, they highlight the narrowest part of your waist. Paired with a striped tube top, a P cap, and a Mercer. You could also totally wear a plain white shirt off-the-shoulder etc. Just how you like it but make sure to go for a subtle color as we wear a green down below.

YES YES, you guys! I have been longing to express how happy I am ever since I have got my eyebrows MICRO BLADED.

I always have had this wish to have at least some brows since I was not born with even countable numbers of it, and when I say this I am not JOKING I was literally blessed with just NO BROWS and have planned on to get them done on many occasions but was terror-stricken of those bizarre fails.

One fine day KOSMODERMA Skin and Hair Clinics here in Bangalore inquired me if I want to get it done, and of course, without a second thought, I was beyond down to get it done. The reason, of course, the clinic is very well reputed and I wanted the micro blading to be done by a Doctor only!

I met Doctor Annapurna who was super kind and soft-spoken, well I started bombarding her with an immense amount of queries as I was still a bit nervous. Let me put down few notes that I did consider to know and I think you did be keen on knowing about it-

  • How long will it take? About 2 hours or so anything under that could be a rush job, I personally have very low pain endurance so I had to take 2 sittings and split the time.
  • You can tell the Doctor the shape you anticipate and get it done like so, but personally went ahead with the natural shape of my eyebrows and Dr. Arnapurna also prefers if I may say so ( natural looking brows are always better )
  • Once you are done with the procedure your brows might look extra dark but it takes a week or so for the pigments to scale and post that the results will be lit.
  • You might want to apply antiseptic post the procedure which doctor will obviously prescribe.
  • A little bit of swelling and pain if you have low pain endurance¬†but totally worth it.

It’s basically a semi-permanent tattooing of your brows but a permanent solution¬†for flawless brows. Using a micro blading¬†blade, pigments are deposited under your epidermis above your dermis. Its done in strokes that mimics your real eyebrow hairs.

STEP 1- Topical anesthesia

STEP 2- Drawing on your anticipated dream brows

STEP 3- Ink application and micro blading takes up to 2 hours

STEP 4-  Reveal of your dream brows.

A lot of people asked me if I am happy with the result the answer is loud YES, YES, I believe in self-love and I believe embracing in whatever God’s provided and I was ready to live with no brows and to just draw them whenever needed but I am so glad this happened because I can embrace myself even more with flawless looking natural brows all I need to do is slap on some moisturiser and rock my day!

It also has saved SO much time even though I use eyebrow products when needed I don’t need to use half as much, it serves as a template all I need to do is add definition just when some intense look is happening but just a matter of half a minute.

If you have negligible brows or thin brows or even looking to fill them in I definitely recommend getting it done. I recommend KOSMODERMA as they give thorough consultation with amazing Doctors and they provide very good service.

Also, they have a lot of other services which are amazing and out of all the services I tried the oxy brite facial, it exfoliates, cleanses and rejuvenate your skin.

How to style 1- BLAZER

We all know its almost springtime but blazers can still be our outfit buddies provided the right texture and material cause you don’t to be boiling underneath. Fall-Winter was all about the blazer, power suits, oversized jackets, and shoulder pads. Personally, I feel its season less and it can be styled most season with the right amount of layering and styling.

Lets reimagined this preppy traditional pieces, it holds a very strong place in the fashion especially very famous during the 60s among the men and rolled around 80s with women adopting the very conservative men’s corporate style of which I am forever thankful for.

I am bigger the better kind of person when it comes to fashion and I end up borrowing pretty much all I can from menswear, from slouchy oversized silhouettes to 80s cut big bold frumpy coats.

I styled my 7 years old blazer from MANGO with a red long wide pants  ZARA added a bit of white and peach as a contrast.

Red could be a super tricky shade to style if you are a minimal person like me that why I included those fair shades. It subtle down an extra vibe which for me could be louder than I anticipated. I kept the styling super simple as the outfit itself is super fierce and powerful. The white mules are my got pairs, I put them on with almost all my outfit and its kind of dying now ūüėČ

This blazer for sure is familiar, right? I did a look on this already but I had to do one more or even more. Lekha is so kind of lending me her dad’s blazer whenever I did ask.OH hey, I also did a look with the green turtleneck and also with the pants, the obsession is real. I paired all of my favs for this look.

This look is very very ME it’s very simple yet very different, to be different is normal. You could even wear a formal men’s pants for this look with a collared¬†shirt too.

Happy Blog Anniversary ‚̧

Hello, 2018! My first post of this year got to be a personal one and something I always wanted to express my heart out.

Well, most people know that I constantly work on #selflove and I try to embrace my best version, its a process of finding my true self every single day but most importantly sticking by my #trueself.

“Find Myself” ¬†this particular phase apparently gets over 5 million searches month in google and this totally signifies how disconnected people are from true self but the good part of it that of people wanting to find their true self.

In my case every single day I am learning and finding myself and my goal is to just stick my true root self! Even if I feel somewhat in touch with my true nature, the barrage of truly crafted ads, paired with the pressure of external influence makes it difficult at times to have core connection.

Reminder to myself –

1. Self-honesty implies to internal harmony when I lay on my bed before sleeping I ask myself several questions and I get a good night sleep only on those days I am answerable to myself and the day I am not able to I might have done something that is definitely not me.

2.Personal value, identifying own value is very mandatory and once you win this you will stop compromising with your self-respect.

3. Balance and Embrace pain and pleasure, life ain’t so easy.

4. Choose your passion with love and care like your own child making sure it aligns with my true-self.

And when it comes to my blog and fashion the reminder is constant = stick to yourself and evolve within you and your style.

A lot of people like the way I perceive¬†fashion and my style but there are also few majorities that dislike but they aren’t to blame it is again their selves and their tastes.

My Journey as a blogger and as a fashion curator tagged along with lots of ups and downs that being ME as the problem, you know why? Cause I refuse to be mainstream and I¬†refuse to be among the sheep flocks, which led to gradual growth in my reach but I don’t at all complain, my art of work should be just loved by the ones that can actually relate to it.

I have worked with handful amount of brands in this 2 years of blogging journey and trust me not all had the best memories, there were times I wanted to break everything I could reach to and the reason was that of them asking me to change my aesthetic and my work and do how everyone else is doing but I am never ever settling into that.

A lot of my content would come disapproved reason being the lack of connection between me and my clients but I don’t give up I make sure the connection connects but if that fails, I assured that it wasn’t for me.

My motive never the less to write this post was to tell you my loves to never settle for less or never settle for things that make you unhappy and that does not relate to your true-self, I am still learning to live by it and stick to my core connection of being my #trueself.

I am wearing an outfit that speaks me and that makes me happy, I believe me wearing me and you believe in wearing you #wearyou.

Adding a bit of hue subtly with the oversized sweater paired with Corduroy wide legs from my designer dear friend ZAMANI and a belt bag with pastel tone. I feel nothing but confident and just nice about this outfit and that’s why I say wearing yourself is key to a god #ootd.

New Year but No New Me

With the title, I might have already¬†disappointed many of you guys but honestly, as much as I love to celebrate New Year’s Eve and I love the idea of a fresh start of new seasons, I also hate the fact that the world turns its attention toward the idea of New Year’s resolution. I to have suckered on to this idea but I have set my self-free from all the boundaries, I finally have understood that “New Year New You” is nothing but a fancy way to remind people that they aren’t good enough.

I believe that it is just the calendar and the seasons that change and we shouldn’t let the folklore dictate that “I should change only this NEW YEAR” instead of it let us set goals every step in our life and let try to be that “better person” you decide to become from 1st of January every single day, why to confine to that particular date ? ¬†The answer to this is “EXCUSES”.

Besides everything else, I have had an amazing 2017 starting from work opportunities,  meeting some amazing souls, playing around with my babies and endless amount of amazing moments with my loved ones and my  supporters but as they say, good things come along with bad things I also went through lows, encountered and entertained people that hardly cared about feelings, let alone mine but in human ground.

But again every single day in the life is a learning process and I have learned my lessons and I choose not to entertain anymore to these sort of scavengers that portrays a different personality superficially, provided I am still going to be nice and
I will be just replying with love and that is how I deal with things now. ( well definitely not pleasing them in any form )

My point on NEW YEAR BUT NO NEW ME is that of being Ok if you don’t want to change and you choose to be happy with who you are and how you are going ¬†because it is slightly easy to fill things we should be better at and let your head spin on what you still haven’t achieved while on the thought¬†of creating resolutions so why pile and exhaust yourself with a certain aspect of life.

There is nothing wrong with setting goals, to feel motivated but we can choose to have a fresh start any time we want without chiming and that is my whole point. Let’s leave room for more important¬†things such as the days of just joy, the moments I am proud of myself, the people that bring a smile to my face and just think about my fur babies.

Well instead of ending 2017 with the thought of what I should change, I choose to embrace all the good things that occurred and also choose to embrace what is to come.

And this is how I choose to start 2018 as well.

Winter the 80s way

I am a person that is completely swayed by the 80s fashion and you can discern visually that on most of my outfit post.

As winter checks in, it becomes quite mandatory for me to do a post featuring my winter outfit ideas. I am a sincere lover of subdued, quite & basic, varying shades of brown tan or orange and this happens to be the SHADES of the 80s ( pretty sure about my last life now )

My first post on winter needed to be shot in a DONJON location, with super warm vibe, and without a doubt, it had to be Bangalore Palace but the funny part is that of me living in this city for 7 long years and not visiting the palace for even once ( blogging for sure takes you places ) I definitely do not complain.

Turtleneck, crew neck, blazer dress, trench, high waisted loose pants etc speaks so much about my style and these were the fashion during the 80s very much widely spread women’s fashion rather. Let’s not forget the¬†co-incidence of my love kitten heels, mules, power suits, animal prints and my larger than life hoops and its existence during the 80s.

Today’s post we are talking about turtleneck and high wasted loose pants. I am digging my old sets of clothes these days and I am kind of discovering a lot of things which were ignored for the longest time.

Wearing a beige turtleneck ( when I bought it I do not remember?  ) with high waisted checked pants ( best buy of this month  A FLEA Market find ) paired with my obsession white MULES, adorning the outfit with my larger than life hoops in gold.

Bringing a bit of presence¬†I carried my recent buy from ZARA ( dope bag ain’t it? ) Absolute¬†love!

It won’t be fair if I don’t¬†appreciate the beauty of this palace! I was lost most of the time while posing for this look as I was busy admiring the architecture and the vibe of the castle, it is a must visit when you are in Bangalore, India.
